RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement tax strategies for individuals, businesses, organizations, and trusts, including planning and recording government and common tax returns.
- Conduct thorough tax research to stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations, and provide timely advice to clients on minimizing their tax liabilities.
- Analyze financial statements and other records to identify potential tax issues or opportunities, and recommend solutions to clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients and government agencies to resolve tax issues and disputes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall success of the firm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal and provincial tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
