As a Payroll Specialist with our client, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. Whether you’re calculating pay and deductions, managing benefits and vacation time, or responding to payroll-related inquiries, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the success of our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing the complete payroll process for our company, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Preparing and distributing paychecks, coordinating deposit statements, and generating payroll reports.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations.
- Responding to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and correct.
- Reconciling payroll accounts and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate and complete records.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and avoid any potential issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
