Merit Services is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Generalist to join our dedicated clients team in Toronto. As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our human resources operations, ensuring the efficient and effective management of various HR functions. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and oversee various HR processes, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate HR records and data, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR initiatives, programs, and policies that support employee engagement, development, and retention.
  • Assist in the coordination of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws and regulations, proactively advising management on compliance and potential risks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset.
  • Experience in providing HR support within the construction or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations is a plus.

Exhibit proficiency in efficiently utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and equipment, enabling accurate troubleshooting and precise problem diagnosis.
