Our client in Toronto is seeking a passionate and experienced Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. As a Financial Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to conduct in-depth analysis, provide insights, and make recommendations that drive our business forward. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and forecasting.
- Analyze industry trends and provide insights on how they may impact the company’s financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for expense reduction.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various scenarios on financial outcomes.
- Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of financial presentations to external stakeholders, such as investors and lenders.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed to support the overall financial goals of the company.
- Participate in financial audits and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimize financial systems and software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software.
