RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Precisely cut, shape, and smooth wood and other materials like fiberglass, according to detailed measurements to create framework and structural components for various construction projects.
  • Skillfully lay out drywall, roofing, or flooring, ensuring that everything is level, plumb, and properly aligned, to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Create custom furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items from raw materials and expertly install them in the appropriate locations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites and perform necessary maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Construct sturdy scaffolding and other building structures that provide a safe and stable work environment for construction teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated practical experience in carpentry and working knowledge of carpentry materials and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools, powered saws, hammers, rulers, and other electrical and manual equipment commonly used in carpentry.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and other relevant paperwork accurately.
  • Good command of the English language and a solid grounding in fundamental math to perform necessary calculations.
  • A healthy physical state and endurance to meet the demands of a physically demanding job.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent certification.
