Merit Services Ltd. is actively seeking a seasoned Banquet Chef to spearhead banquet kitchen operations at one of our esteemed client locations in Toronto. The Banquet Chef will assume the pivotal role of leading and inspiring a team of talented chefs to ensure the timely creation and delivery of exceptional dishes for large-scale events. This position presents an exhilarating opportunity to demonstrate your leadership prowess and culinary finesse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the preparation and delivery of exceptional culinary creations for large-scale events and gatherings.
- Guide and inspire a team of chefs, ensuring efficient and timely kitchen operations.
- Craft bespoke menus and recipes that cater to the unique tastes and preferences of our clientele.
- Monitor inventory levels, proactively assisting in procurement of supplies when necessary.
- Uphold the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain a pristine and orderly kitchen environment, promoting maximum productivity and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a Banquet Chef role or similar capacity.
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial prowess.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to excel under pressure within a fast-paced setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
