Summary:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, your role will be vital in managing and monitoring the daily activities of our warehouse. You will oversee a team and guarantee effective procedures, punctual shipment, and precise handling of inventory. Successfully maintaining a smooth and productive warehouse environment greatly relies on your keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and capacity to inspire and direct a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Â Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities
- Â Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers
- Â Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity and employee performance
- Â Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials using the Purchase Order system
- Â Implement and maintain sufficient inventories to meet the needs of the maintenance, facilities, and operations teams
- Â Consistent review and optimization of functional warehouse processes and procedures
- Â Maintain general housekeeping procedures and maintenance on all warehouse equipment
- Â Support Material Crib replenishment
- Â Support our Warehouse operations
- Â Provide assistance in sourcing unique equipment
- Â Maintain inventory audit program (cycle counts, yearend inventory count)
- Â Maintain a product obsolescence plan, a quarterly review of non-moving inventory
- Â Maintain an up-to-date SDS manual accessible to all warehouse personnel
- Â Ensure proper labeling is affixed to dangerous goods
- Â Maintain critical spare parts for various groups
- Â Supervisory and training of warehouse personnel as required
- Â Conduct regular safety meetings with staff that align with company standards
- Â Purchasing and price checking on inventoried material
- Â Maintain vendor relationships
- Â Other related duties as required
REQUIRED:
- Â Post-secondary education in inventory management, purchasing, and/or business is preferred
- Â Minimum 5 years of materials management experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) preferred
- Â Oil and Gas industry experience is an asset
- Â Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft software applications and a Maintenance Management System (MMS)
- Â Good internal customer network
- Â Providing supervision to staff
- Â Intermediate-advanced inventory management control skills
- Â Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Â Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Â Solid product knowledge
- Â Ability to conduct procurement functions
- Â Ability to drive change and challenge the status quo
- Â Traffic and logistics capabilities
