SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Recycling Operations Supervisor to become part of our client’s team in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. We are looking for someone to play a crucial role in managing our recycling plant by supervising daily activities, organizing operations, and guaranteeing the smooth handling of recyclable materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage the tasks of recycling facility employees, making sure they follow safety guidelines and operational protocols.
- Supervise the production processes to guarantee that efficiency and quality criteria are achieved.
- Create and distribute a schedule of tasks for team members, flexibly allocating staffing to meet production targets.
- Provide new employees with training on how to operate equipment, follow safety procedures, and adhere to company policies.
- Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to quickly address maintenance issues.
- Work together with management to create and execute enhancements in processes in order to improve efficiency and minimize unnecessary resource usage.
- Keep precise records of production, inventory, and equipment upkeep.
- Make sure to follow all environmental laws and company rules when it comes to managing waste and recycling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required, while post-secondary education or relevant certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in a leadership position in the recycling or waste management sector.
- Extensive understanding of recycling procedures and machinery.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Having the skill to efficiently manage and make good choices in a high-pressure setting.
- Able to effectively solve problems and pay close attention to detail.
- Knowledge of rules and guidelines for health and safety.
