Summary: Merit Services is hiring a responsible candidate for the structural integrity and maintenance work on the towers and related infrastructures of our client’s wireless network. He/she will be working in direct collaboration with RF engineers, real estate experts, and construction project managers during the continuous expansion and upgrade of the wireless network.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Â Coordinate with external engineering firms the preparation of construction drawings and structural analysis of existing tower sites
- Â Manage deadlines, costs, and quality of the deliverables to the satisfaction of internal customers
- Â Negotiate with engineering firms the costs related to structural analyzes and inspections by maximizing the services offered at the best price
- Â Keep abreast of market prices and establish annual unit costs for the various services offered by the engineering firms to effectively control costs
-  Provide civil approvals for space rental on existing towers • Maintain a privileged business relationship with service providers
- Â Manage engineering firms for post-construction inspections and as-built drawings
- Â Manage the maintenance inspections and repair work of the BCE tower pool in conformity with the CSA S37 standard
- Â Establish standard design criteria for new towers
- Â Collaborate with the preparation of construction standards
REQUIRED
-  Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Â 3-5 years of experience in telecommunication structures
- Â Very good knowledge of Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Â Strong team player
- Â Leadership, autonomy, initiative, efficiency
- Â Strong verbal and written communication skills (French and English)
- Â Excellent time management skills
