Are you a Software Engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity in the tech industry? Look no further than Merit Services! Our client in Hamilton is seeking a talented and driven Software Engineer to join their Growth Data Engineering team. As a Software Engineer in Growth Data Engineering, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with different department teams, including Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and Growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build scalable data products and pipelines to support data-driven decision-making for Growth, Sales, and Marketing teams
- Design, create, and manage data pipelines, models, and products to fuel Stripe’s growth
- Assist Data Science team in applying statistical and econometric models to large datasets to support intelligent decision-making by Growth & Go-to-Market teams
- Develop client libraries and frameworks to log user events and track important GTM product metrics
- Collaborate with teams in the field to assess the impact of various GTM techniques
- Apply statistical and economic models to large datasets to support informed decision-making by Growth & Go-to-Market teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in Data or Software Engineering, focusing on data pipeline and big data-powered applications design
- Strong engineering background and passion for data
- Experience creating and debugging distributed data pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Pig, etc.
- Proven ability to investigate data inconsistencies, identify issues, and address underlying data quality problems
- Proficiency in full-stack development languages such as Java or Go, as well as front-end frameworks like React
- Familiarity with scientific computing languages like Scala or Python
