Merit Services is seeking a Robotics Technician to join our client’s dynamic team in Saint John. As a Robotics Technician, you play a pivotal role in the upkeep, diagnosis, and programming of our robotic setups, ensuring they operate at peak capacity and enhance our overall productivity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employing robotic systems in accordance with specifications and technical needs can be achieved via installation, setup, and configuration.
  • To ensure robots function optimally and reduce downtime, it is important to carry out routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Identify and resolve any malfunctions or issues that occur in robotic systems by conducting diagnoses and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Work together with the engineering and production teams to improve the efficiency and output of robotic processes by implementing enhancements.
  • Create and adapt robot software programs in order to satisfy precise manufacturing demands and enhance productivity.
  • Perform tests and calibration protocols to confirm the precision and reliability of robotic technologies.
  • Provide training and support to operators for the secure and efficient use and upkeep of robotic equipment.
  • Keep precise records of maintenance tasks, fixes, and programming modifications.
  • Continuously improve your knowledge and skills in robotics by staying up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a program in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a closely related area resulting in a diploma or degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in being a Robotics Technician or a comparable position, with a preference for experience in a production setting.
  • Expertise in automation technologies, programming languages like Python and C++, and robotics systems.
  • Having expertise in scrutinizing and comprehending technical diagrams, schematics, and requirements.
  • A proficient understanding of control systems, sensors, and vision systems employed in robotics.
  • Proficiency in addressing intricate issues within robotic systems, identifying their causes through troubleshooting, and executing repairs proficiently.
  • Remarkable ability to resolve issues and meticulousness.
  • Highly developed abilities in collaborating and effective communication.
