SUMMARY:
Come be part of our Port Coquitlam team as an RF Technician and help with the creation, setup, and upkeep of radio frequency systems. If you are passionate about technology and skilled at solving problems, we would love to get in touch with you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, customize, and uphold radio frequency gear and systems in accordance with technical guidelines.
- Survey the site and evaluate the radio frequency coverage in order to enhance system performance.
- Identify and resolve problems in radio frequency systems, ensuring continuous operation by implementing timely solutions.
- Complete regular maintenance duties such as checking equipment, tidying, and adjusting.
- Work together with engineering teams to create and execute radio frequency solutions that fulfill project needs.
- Create a record of system configurations, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting steps for future use.
- Keep informed about the latest industry trends and developments in radio frequency technology to improve system capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a two-year program in electronics, telecommunications, or a similar area of study leading to an associate degree or technical diploma.
- Extensive background as an RF Technician, with a preference for experience in telecommunications or broadcasting.
- A thorough understanding of radio frequency fundamentals, transmission lines, and antenna principles.
- A high level of skill in the operation and utilization of radio frequency testing equipment and spectrum analyzers.
- Possess exceptional abilities in identifying and solving challenging technical issues, showcasing strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates effective collaboration with diverse teams and possesses strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to different work locations as required.
