Merit Services is seeking an IT Operations Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in Sherbrooke. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively oversee and supervise the IT operations team, delivering direction, assistance, and evaluations to guarantee a dynamic and accomplished staff.
  • Manage the setup, arrangement, and upkeep of hardware, software, and network systems, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and accessibility.
  • To ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency, it is important to create and execute appropriate IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Effectively oversee relationships with IT vendors, engage in contract negotiations, and enforce compliance with service level agreements.
  • Intelligently observe IT systems, networks, and applications in order to detect and resolve problems, guaranteeing minimal interruptions and time offline.
  • Work together with various parties involved to recognize the requirements of information technology, suggest viable remedies, and synchronize IT projects with the objectives of the organization.
  • Smartly optimize allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness by developing and overseeing IT budgets.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies, industry patterns, and preferred methods, suggesting creative solutions to improve our IT operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated expertise in roles such as IT Operations Manager, IT Manager, or other comparable leadership positions, responsible for supervising IT operations and infrastructure.
  • A profound understanding of IT systems, networks, infrastructure elements, and principles of security.
  • Having familiarity with the ITIL framework and expertise in implementing effective IT service management practices.
  • Great ability to lead and manage individuals, capable of inspiring and energizing a team.
  • Having a strategic mindset and the capability to coordinate IT projects with the objectives of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, combined with the aptitude to efficiently prioritize tasks and effectively resolve issues.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, enabling efficient collaboration with individuals of diverse backgrounds and hierarchies.
  • Preferred certifications include ITIL, PMP, or CISSP, that are relevant to the position.
