SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking Full Stack Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Kelowna. As an Full Stack Developer, your responsibility will involve putting in place security protocols, detecting and addressing any potential weaknesses, and promptly managing any security issues that may arise, all aimed at safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of our IT resources. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work together with stakeholders to collect and comprehend project necessities, converting them into technical specifications and achievable assignments.
- Create web applications that are responsive and easy to use, while also prioritizing high performance, scalability, and security.
- Create and execute user-friendly interfaces by utilizing up-to-date front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and frameworks for JavaScript.
- Develop sturdy and expandable back-end systems by employing frameworks and languages such as Node. js, Python, or Java.
- Perform comprehensive tests and debugging processes to guarantee the effectiveness, user-friendliness, and overall excellence of created applications.
- Work together with designers, experts in UX/UI, and other developers to create user experiences that are visually appealing and smooth.
- Keep up with the latest advancements and technologies in web development, incorporating them to improve our development methods and provide creative solutions.
- Engage in code reviews and offer meaningful feedback to uphold code quality and adhere to preferred methods.
- Work together with teams from different departments to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end elements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Proven expertise as a Full Stack Developer or in a comparable position, specializing in the creation of web applications.
- Expertise in front-end technologies, namely HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, combined with hands-on involvement in cutting-edge JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Extensive expertise in back-end development incorporating frameworks and coding languages like Node. js, Python, or Java.
- An adequate understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases is recommended.
- Proficient in utilizing version control systems such as Git and adept at navigating collaborative development processes.
- Smart comprehension of the principles of designing for various screen sizes and devices, as well as prioritizing mobile devices during the development process.
- Excellent capacity to solve problems effectively and the aptitude to devise innovative strategies in order to triumph over technical obstacles.
- Superb interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with a talent for effective communication and collaboration in a collaborative setting.
