SUMMARY:
Merit Services, a leading provider of innovative solutions for organizations, is seeking an experienced and talented Enterprise Architect to join our client’s team in Hamilton. As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable and robust enterprise solutions to meet our client’s business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide technology decisions, and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, principles, and standards that support the organization’s overall IT strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities, and define technology roadmaps to drive business transformation.
- Design and communicate the target architecture vision and roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with business goals, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose strategic solutions to optimize performance, enhance security, and improve efficiency.
- Lead architectural reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor development teams in the adoption of best practices and architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in enterprise architecture to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Identify risks and opportunities in the technology landscape and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select technology solutions, ensuring they align with architectural standards and organizational goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and impact assessments to support decision-making processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on large-scale enterprise solutions.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF, and experience in their practical application.
- Extensive understanding of technology domains, including applications, data, infrastructure, security, and integration.
- Proficiency in architecting and designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance enterprise solutions, utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and techniques..
