Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Culinary Supervisor who takes charge of kitchen operations, including leading the staff in all matters related to food preparation. You will be required to ensure that there are adequate food supplies, to plan the menu, and to see that the kitchen and equipment are kept immaculate at all times. You should have the leadership skills to ensure that your team understands what is required of them. An excellent supervisor should be able to handle multiple duties simultaneously and should be extremely organized.


  • Assist in training all kitchen associates on the operation of equipment and food production
  • Supervising cooks in an assigned area.
  • Must be competent in all stations and able to run an entire area.
  • Preparing and cooking products according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Understanding menu offerings and presentation.
  • Educate staff to ensure that they know, understand, and follow all, of the Department and Center policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all CMS guidelines in the kitchen.
  • Train and support all staff to ensure they understand all their job responsibilities.
  • Supporting Cooks/Cold Production/Baker on Meals when needed.


  • 2 years of experience is required.
  • A Culinary Management program or equivalent experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • May require use of ladders.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
