SUMMARY:
Merit Services, is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Architect to join our esteemed client’s dynamic team in the thriving city of Oshawa. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the cloud infrastructure strategy, designing innovative solutions, and driving digital transformation for our client’s business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop scalable cloud architecture solutions.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging industry-leading platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, encompassing security, scalability, availability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Drive the adoption of cloud best practices, ensuring robust security measures, high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of cloud services, tools, and technologies to enhance the organization’s cloud capabilities.
- Architect and implement cloud-based infrastructure automation and orchestration to improve operational efficiency and enable rapid application deployment.
- Provide guidance and thought leadership on emerging cloud trends, innovative technologies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud-native application design, deployment, and monitoring.
- Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and cost analysis to ensure optimal cloud resource utilization.
- Define and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or a similar role, with a successful track record of designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with cloud security and identity management, implementing robust access controls and data protection measures.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
