SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking a Backend Software Developer for our client. The incumbent will be responsible for the creation, upkeep, and implementation of server-side applications and APIs to facilitate our web and mobile applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop server-side applications and APIs using programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
- Develop and maintain databases and data models that support our web and mobile applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level is required.
- More than three years of expertise in the development of software for backend operations.
- Exceptionally skilled in coding languages including but not limited to Java, Python, and Node.js.
- Proficiency in utilizing diverse databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Comprehension of web services and RESTful APIs.
- Expertise in utilizing cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Remarkable aptitude in resolving complex problems coupled with meticulousness in paying attention to particulars.
- Proficient abilities in communication and working cooperatively.
