RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Plan and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including payroll taxes and GST/HST returns
- Analyze financial data to make recommendations for process improvements
- Manage bank accounts and other financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date
- Support audits and related inquiries with attention to detail and strong analytical skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Have at least three years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
- Hold a CPA designation or currently pursuing a CPA
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of bookkeeping standards and controls
- Possess experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
