SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking an Machine Operator to join our client’s dynamic team in Windsor. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of machinery. Your expertise in machine setup, operation, and maintenance will contribute to the production of high-quality products in a safe and productive manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Â Maintain the flow of parts produced from the process
- Â Glue and screw the parts
- Â Work as per instructions from the overhead projector highlighted on the parts
- Â Can work on any section on the line
- Â Work using a hand-held glue gun, screw gun, and nitro gloves (all provided by employer)
- Â When trained, can help inspect the final product at the end of the assembly line
REQUIRED:
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting/decision-making skills
- Â Good experience in operation of shop equipment including lathes, vertical milling machine, radial drill, balancing machine, and other shop tools and equipment as required
- Â Ability to repair equipment back to OEM standards
- Â Ability to work alone or as part of a flexible team
- Â Able to work with other trades
- Â Good housekeeping standards
- Â Planning/estimating experience
- Â Working knowledge of vibration analyzing equipment and laser alignment equipment is an asset.
- Â Knowledge of SAP a definite asset
- Â Computer literacy (MS Office, Windows)
- Â Knowledge of W.H.M.I.S. and OH&S regulations
-  This job requires some heavy lifting, the use of ladders, and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers. This position requires the ability to work in a variety of different work  environments both indoors and outdoors.
