SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Analyst to join our team in Toronto. As a Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our clients’ information systems and technology infrastructure. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to analyze business requirements, design system solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of various software applications and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for system enhancements or new system implementations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, workflows, and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Design and develop system solutions and workflows that align with business needs, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to define technical specifications and ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure.
- Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate system functionality and ensure quality assurance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to end-users, addressing and resolving system issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system requirements, user guides, process flows, and technical specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in system analysis, technology, and business processes, and make recommendations for process improvements and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
- Participate in system training and knowledge transfer sessions to end-users and stakeholders as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications will be a plus.
- Proven work experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably in a client-facing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex business requirements.
- Proficiency in system analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
- Experience in designing and implementing system solutions, workflows, and business process improvements.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
