SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking a Software Engineer for our client. The incumbent will be responsible for creating and managing software applications that facilitate our Capital Markets operations. You will also participate in every phase, from analyzing to designing, executing, testing, and maintaining it.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and develop software solutions using Java and related technologies such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Apache Camel.
- Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software applications that meet business needs.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug software applications to identify and resolve issues.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Capital Markets Technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Having more than three years of experience in utilizing Java and interconnected technologies for software development.
- A comprehensive comprehension of the technology involved in Capital Markets, the various financial tools deployed, and the procedures that govern trading.
- Direct involvement in utilizing Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Apache Camel.
- Proficiency in utilizing SQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with messaging technologies, including Kafka and AMQP.
- Proficient in working in a development environment that is Agile.
- Excellent ability to find solutions and a thorough focus on accuracy.
- Outstanding abilities in communication and working together effectively.
