SUMMARY:

Merit Safeguard is currently looking for a reliable Security Supervisor with ample experience to take charge of our security team based in Montreal. As a Security Supervisor, you will have a crucial responsibility in ensuring a safe environment while monitoring the performance of security officers. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • It is preferable to have additional security management training, although a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Having a demonstrated track record as a Security Supervisor or in a similar security position.
  • The person possesses exceptional abilities in leading and effectively communicating with others.
  • The capacity to effectively choose and act wisely in challenging situations.
  • Mastery in security systems and protocols.
  • The individual possesses a legitimate security license as well as a certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Very strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Physical fitness and the capacity to remain upright, move, or conduct patrols for long durations.
  • Being able to speak both English and French is a valuable attribute.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated expertise in roles such as IT Operations Manager, IT Manager, or other comparable leadership positions, responsible for supervising IT operations and infrastructure.
  • A profound understanding of IT systems, networks, infrastructure elements, and principles of security.
  • Having familiarity with the ITIL framework and expertise in implementing effective IT service management practices.
  • Great ability to lead and manage individuals, capable of inspiring and energizing a team.
  • Having a strategic mindset and the capability to coordinate IT projects with the objectives of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, combined with the aptitude to efficiently prioritize tasks and effectively resolve issues.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, enabling efficient collaboration with individuals of diverse backgrounds and hierarchies.
  • Preferred certifications include ITIL, PMP, or CISSP, that are relevant to the position.
