SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking an experienced Packaging Operator for our client. Successful candidates will have the ability to implement a plan of care including free and interdependent nursing functions, and an understanding of the responsibility-based practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct patient care and assessment, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and performing routine medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charts.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on preventative healthcare measures and self-care techniques.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions or behavior to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuous education and training to maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends, practices, and technologies.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in nursing.
- Current state nursing license.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of nursing standards of care and ethical practices.
- Basic computer skills and experience using electronic medical records systems.
