SUMMARY:
Merit Services is looking for a Registered Nurse for our client. The incumbent will administer the patient’s nursing care and support services according to their care plan and in a setting that values safety, respect, and decency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Administering medications, treatments, and other modalities as prescribed and directed by physicians.
- Providing education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on disease prevention and health promotion topics.
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and symptoms and reporting any changes to the physician and/or charge nurse.
- Assisting in activities like bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, or any other needs of the patient.
- Supporting patients with nutrition and hydration needs.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation per organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Knowledge of patient care procedures and protocols.
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN/assistant RN.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and respond to patient needs with care and service.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other health professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current CPR and first aid certification.
