Merit Services is seeking a skilled Recycling Outreach Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic team in Regina. As a Recycling Outreach Coordinator, you will have the task of creating and executing a series of initiatives aimed at advocating for recycling and waste reduction measures within the local community. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and implement tactics and endeavors for reaching out to the public, with the purpose of increasing understanding about recycling programs and encouraging activities that help to minimize waste.
- Organize and join community events, seminars, and talks that aim to inform and involve the public in adopting effective recycling methods.
- Working together with educational institutions, companies, and local groups to boost recycling initiatives and establish collaborative efforts.
- Develop and circulate educational resources, such as pamphlets, bulletins, and online content, to educate and motivate the populace.
- Conduct evaluations and surveys to assess the efficacy of outreach activities and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
- Build connections with nearby media organizations, so as to guarantee a spotlight on recycling efforts and enhance their public exposure.
- Act as a liaison for community members seeking information and assistance on recycling initiatives.
- Keep yourself informed about the latest developments in recycling outreach and community engagement by following industry trends and advancements in emerging technologies and best practices.
- Work together with teams within the organization to ensure that the outreach initiatives are in line with the broader objectives of sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience that is applicable may be accepted in place of formal schooling.
- Demonstrated proficiency in community engagement, communication, or comparable positions.
- A profound understanding of the recycling procedures, strategies for waste disposal, and the fundamental principles of sustaining the environment.
- Remarkable aptitude in written and oral communication, demonstrating the capacity to proficiently connect and motivate heterogeneous listeners.
- The knack for generating captivating content across multiple communication mediums, such as online platforms, printed materials, and social media.
