Job Description



Join the Merit Services team as a Project Coordinator for a client in the finance industry. As a Project Coordinator you will play a crucial role in the project’s success by coordinating and communicating details between team members and management. This includes overseeing the ongoing processes of assigned projects and ensuring that they are completed within the set timeline and budget. As a liaison, you will also facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.


  • Effectively organize and manage project tasks, materials, tools, and data to ensure successful project completion.
  • Develop project plans that break down projects into manageable steps with clear deadlines to ensure project milestones are met on time.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to determine their needs, project scope, and objectives and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure that client needs are being met, and address any issues that arise.
  • Support the budget preparation process by providing input and cost estimates for project tasks and deliverables.
  • Identify project opportunities and hazards, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Manage project procurement, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement documentation.
  • Track project development and proactively address any problems that may emerge.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project participants and provide regular updates on project status and progress.
  • Utilize project management tools to monitor project schedule, budget, and spending, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and release any required legal documentation in a timely and accurate manner.


  • Proven track record in project coordination or a related role with successful project outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in project management from initiation to closure.
  • Proficient in creating and comprehending flowcharts, timelines, and step-by-step action plans.
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and collaboration.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Basecamp or Trello.
  • Certification in PMP or PRINCE2 is a plus.
