SUMMARY:
Looking for an exciting new opportunity as a Portfolio Manager? Merit Services is currently seeking an experienced candidate to supervise investment portfolios for one of our clients in Mississauga. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies that align with our clients’ goals and risk tolerance, ensuring optimal performance and risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with clients to develop customized investment strategies that align with their financial goals and objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and monitor the economic landscape and financial markets to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate investment recommendations and rationale to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and reports to make informed investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other industry professionals to gain insights and access to investment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with investment policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and risks within the investment portfolios and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in regular portfolio reviews and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest investment trends, techniques, and technologies to provide the highest level of service to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management or related field.
  • Strong understanding of investment strategies and portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and work under tight deadlines.
