SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking a highly motivated Legal Analyst to join our team and provide exceptional legal support to our clients. As a Legal Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating legal documents and contracts to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail and have strong analytical and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform in-depth legal research and analysis of relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare and draft various legal documents such as contracts and agreements
  • Provide legal advice and review on various business matters to ensure legal compliance
  • Assist in managing legal proceedings and supporting litigation efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement legal requirements and best practices.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company’s operations.
  • Review and revise legal documents and policies to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal support and advice to internal departments, such as human resources and finance.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on potential mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Assist with legal research and analysis for complex legal issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including attorneys, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in negotiations and discussions with external parties on behalf of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a legal role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date on legal developments..
