SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking a IT Project Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in Brantford. As an IT Project Manager, your responsibility is to supervise the entire process of project planning, execution, and implementation, guaranteeing timely delivery, adherence to the budget, and meeting the expectations of stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Efficiently carry out and oversee IT projects from start to finish, ensuring that they remain on schedule, within budget, and meet the desired quality standards.
    • Work closely with relevant parties to establish the scope, goals, and outcomes of the project, ensuring that they are in line with the business’s objectives and strategic focus.
    • Create detailed project plans that encompass scheduling, allocation of resources, evaluation of risks, and formulation of strategies for handling those risks.
    • Effectively manage and guide project teams, assigning tasks, providing support, and promoting cooperation to ensure successful project completion.
    • Closely observe the advancement of projects, effectively tackle and resolve any issues that arise, and promptly escalate any concerns to ensure projects stay on schedule.
    • Regularly hold project status meetings to keep stakeholders informed and effectively manage their expectations.
    • Monitor and record project data, including budget, schedule, and resource usage, to evaluate project effectiveness and guarantee responsibility.
    • Effectively handle all project documentation, such as requirements, specifications, change requests, and lessons obtained.
    • Keep yourself informed about the latest trends and emerging technologies in the industry, and suggest creative project management approaches and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise as an IT Project Manager, effectively delivering intricate IT projects.
  • Extensive understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and industry-recognized standards.
  • It is highly beneficial to possess a PMP certification.
  • Skill in utilizing project management software and working collaboratively with tools.
  • Outstanding abilities in leadership and building relationships, capable of inspiring and directing teams working on projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to make prompt decisions and successfully overcome obstacles.
  • Highly proficient in communication and stakeholder engagement, capable of cultivating strong and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
