Merit Services is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to join our client’s dynamic team a in Trois-Rivières. As an expert in IT procurement, your role will be to utilize your knowledge in procurement tactics, vendor coordination, and negotiation abilities to effectively acquire IT equipment, software, and services. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and execute effective strategies and policies for the acquisition of IT products and services.
  • Perform market analysis to identify possible suppliers, products, and services that align with our IT needs.
  • Intelligently assess suppliers by considering factors like cost, excellence, timeliness, and customer support when making a choice.
  • Smartly secure the best value for our organization by engaging in negotiations with vendors regarding contracts, terms, and pricing.
  • Smartly oversee the entire procurement process, which includes generating purchase orders, monitoring shipments, and effectively resolving any procurement-related concerns.
  • Work alongside colleagues within the organization to comprehend their technological requirements and offer assistance in selecting appropriate procurement choices.
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service agreements.
  • Keep yourself well-informed about the latest developments in the industry, market behavior, and upcoming technologies in order to make informed decisions regarding procurement.
  • Sensibly record procurement actions, contracts, and vendor details precisely.
  • Smartly recognize potential areas for enhancing processes and reducing expenses in the IT procurement procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant field of study for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree could be Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar area of focus.
  • Applicants must possess a strong background in IT Procurement Specialist or Buyer positions, or similar roles, with a specific emphasis on IT procurement.
  • A comprehensive grasp of procurement principles, strategies, and optimal methodologies.
  • The individual possesses strong abilities in negotiation and managing vendors, demonstrating skill in establishing and sustaining productive relationships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the procurement processes and market dynamics related to IT hardware, software, and services.
  • Outstanding abilities in analyzing and solving problems, while exhibiting a strong focus on detail.
  • Advanced communication and collaboration abilities, coupled with the proficiency to work amicably with both colleagues and external partners.
  • Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and tools.
  • Ideal certifications such as CPSM or CPP in the field of supply management or purchasing are desired.
