SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking Front-End Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Kelowna. As a Front-End Developer, your role will involve working closely with diverse teams to transform design mockups into web interfaces that are both responsive and interactive. This is a thrilling chance to utilize your mastery in front-end technologies, UI/UX design principles, and coding abilities to provide outstanding user experiences.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in collaboration with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and transform them into functional web interfaces.
  • Create web applications that are compatible with different browsers and can adapt to different screen sizes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Carry out UI/UX designs and maintain coherence in visual components and interactions.
  • Improve the speed and scalability of web applications to guarantee an excellent user experience.
  • Perform comprehensive testing and debugging to detect and resolve any potential problems or performance obstacles related to the user interface or overall system efficiency.
  • Work together with back-end developers to combine front-end elements with server-side programming.
  • Keep yourself informed about the latest developments in front-end technologies and industry standards and integrate them effectively into your development strategies.
  • Take part in code reviews and offer valuable input to uphold the quality and adherence to standards within the codebase.
  • Work together with teams from different functions to guarantee smooth incorporation and distribution of web applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area at the undergraduate level is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Front-End Development or a comparable position, specializing in the creation of web applications.
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong command of front-end technologies.
  • Extensive understanding of React, Vue. js, or Angular JavaScript frameworks.
  • Comprehension of principles regarding responsive design and a focus on mobile-first development.
