Summary:
Merit Services is looking to hire Equipment Operator for its client in Recycling. Equipment Operator should be responsible, safe, and dependable with Heavy Equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-  Operate Heavy Equipment such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, excavators to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials in our aggregate pit locations
-  Operate heavy equipment for loading trucks
-  Operate rock trucks
-  Operate gravel crushing equipment
-  Secure special attachments to equipment, operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, perform minor repairs to equipment, and operate hydraulic pumping systems.
-  Conduct pre-operational inspections on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
-  Ensure proper and safe storage of equipment
-  Expected to operate all equipment in a safe and highly efficient manner.
-  Follow all safety protocolsÂ
REQUIRED:
-  Clean Class 5 driver’s license
-  Must have own transportation to work site
-  Heavy Equipment Operator ticket required
-  Experience 2 year + as a heavy equipment operator
-  Experience with gravel crushing equipment an asset
-  Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
-  Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
- Â Ability to work a flexible work schedule including different shifts and overtime when needed
