As a Construction Site Supervisor will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to oversee operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed and handling incidents according to protocol.
- Maintaining records of attendance, progress, and expenses to monitor project performance.
- Evaluating employee performance and taking corrective measures to meet safety, design, and budget requirements.
- Analyzing designs to ensure compliance and identifying potential issues.
- Overseeing day-to-day site operations, managing subcontractors, and scheduling work.
- Conducting safety inspections and collaborating with other professionals to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate should have completed a postsecondary building training program or have equivalent work experience in the construction industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is highly desirable for this position.
- The candidate should have extensive site management experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
- CPR and first aid certification is required to ensure the safety of all personnel working on the construction site.
- Thorough knowledge of construction safety rules and building codes is necessary to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- As a Construction Site Supervisor should be familiar with the latest tools and technology used in the construction industry to ensure efficiency and quality in the project.
- The ability to read and interpret architectural plans is a must-have skill for this position.
- Outstanding leadership qualities are essential to effectively manage and motivate a team of construction workers.
- A strong analytical and problem-solving capacity is necessary to identify and address issues that may arise during the project.
