SUMMARY:
Merit Services is seeking experienced Automotive Assemblers for our client. They will be responsible for assembling various automotive components and parts per established production standards and quality guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Examine and comprehend job directives, plans, and diagrams to grasp the requirements for assembly.
- Gather various automotive parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, steering and brake systems, and assemble them.
- Execute assembly duties by employing hand tools, power tools, and automated machinery.
- Thoroughly examine and check finalized goods to ensure adherence to predetermined quality criteria and specifications.
- Work together with fellow team members to enhance the efficiency of manufacturing processes and protocols.
- Regularly conduct maintenance and cleansing procedures on assembly objects and machinery.
- It is essential to notify the production supervisor of any production problems or equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure precise documentation of production activities and generate accurate reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols and rules, including mandatory personal protective equipment use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in automotive assembly or a related field
- Knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
